Education Ministry

Statement of Purpose

The Education Ministry of ICOG is tasked with the awesome responsibility of teaching the Word of God. The goal is to lead the saved to Christian maturity and to introduce the unsaved to Jesus Christ.

Our instructional environment consists of three functional areas.

Bible Study

ICOG offers a mid-week bible study on Wednesday nights starting at 7:30 p.m. Our class sessions begin in September and are completed the following May in coordination with the Montgomery County school year. Biblical instruction is provided to students from nursery age through adulthood. ICOG provides a variety of adult courses designed to be taught in eight or sixteen week sessions.

Sunday Morning School

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday morning, ICOG offers a range of biblically based classes for nursery aged children through adults.

Also offered on Sunday morning is an eight week "New Members Class" that is specifically designed to assist our newest members in their transition into our church family.

The tutoring department is a free service offered by ICOG to students ranging from Kindergarten to Adults in continuing education to help them in their academic endeavors. Tutoring sessions are currently held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon every Saturday during the Montgomery County school year. All students are asked to bring any textbooks or learning materials from their respective schools in order to aid the tutors in meeting their needs. We cover all basic subjects including AP courses, and we encourage members, as well as non- members to take advantage of this service.
